* It is hard to make a full comparison between the Kenmore and the other washers. The Kenmore washer doubles as a dryer, which saves money and space. The energy costs above only show energy for washing, though. Kenmore's hybrid condensing drying system definitely uses more energy than hang-drying, and it almost certainly uses more energy than a traditional electric dryer.
